Water Taxi operates the website located at https://watertaxi.com and the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi mobile application, referred to collectively in this Privacy Policy as the “Services.”
Throughout this Privacy Policy, “Water Taxi,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Water Taxi.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing clear information about how we access, collect, use, store, and share information when you use our Services.

- Any other information you voluntarily provide.
Payment card information is processed by third-party payment processors. Water Taxi may receive transaction details, such as an order number, payment status, purchase amount, or the products or services purchased, but does not necessarily receive or retain your complete payment card number.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use our website or mobile application, certain information may be collected automatically, including:
- IP address;
- Browser type and version;
- Device type and operating system;
- Mobile application version;
- Device or application identifiers;
- Pages, screens, or features accessed;
- Dates and times of access;
- Referring website;
- App events, diagnostic information, and error logs;
- Cookie and analytics information; and
- Location or location-related information, when you have granted the relevant permission.
Mobile Application Location Data
The Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi mobile application may request access to your device’s approximate or precise location.
Location access is used only for features that require location information, as described below.
Water Taxi Map and Tracker Features
When you are actively using the mobile application, your location may be used to show your position relative to Water Taxi routes, stops, boats, and other map information.
This location access helps you understand where you are in relation to Water Taxi service.
Cruise & Save Proximity Notifications
Cruise & Save is an optional mobile application feature that provides notifications about participating businesses and nearby offers.
When you choose to enable Cruise & Save, the application may access your device’s location while the app is in the background, closed, or not actively in use.
Background location access is used to determine when your device enters the proximity area of a participating Cruise & Save location. This allows the application to send you a timely notification about a nearby participating business or offer.
The Cruise & Save feature may use geofencing or similar device-location services. Geofencing allows the mobile device to detect entry into a defined area around a participating location without requiring you to keep the application open.
Background location access is optional. Before requesting background location permission, the application provides an explanation of how the information will be used.
You may deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. However, Cruise & Save proximity notifications may not function if the required location permission is disabled.
Location-Related Information We May Process
When you use Cruise & Save, the application and Water Taxi systems may process information such as:
- The participating Cruise & Save location or geofence entered;
- A location or deal identifier;
- The date and time of the proximity event;
- The approximate distance from a participating location;
- Whether the app was permitted to use location services;
- A mobile account, application, subscription, or device identifier;
- Whether you were eligible to receive an offer;
- Whether a notification was sent, suppressed, or failed;
- Notification delivery information;
- Information used to prevent duplicate or excessive notifications; and
- Diagnostic information needed to investigate technical issues.
The application may use precise device location to detect proximity events.
Water Taxi does not use Cruise & Save location information to create a continuously viewable history of your movements.

You may also be able to change notification preferences within the mobile application.
