We have over 30 stops across the region (10 in Fort Lauderdale, 12 in Pompano, 8 on the Water Trolley, and 1 in Hollywood). You may board the Water Taxi at any of the Water Taxi stops or at any of the Whistle Stops. If you are standing at a Whistle Stop, the next passing Water Taxi will stop to pick you up.

It takes about three hours to go around the main Fort Lauderdale Route and end up where you started. Many people do just stay on for a boat ride, which is wonderful, however; we encourage you to explore this web site and ask the Water Taxi crew for advice on places to disembark for dining, cocktails, shopping, the beach and parks. Be sure to check the schedule for return pick up times.

There are different sized Water Taxis and we try to match the vessel size to the demand on a particular route at a particular time. The smallest Water Taxis hold 19 guests. The largest Water Taxis can carry up to 200 guests on scheduled service.

Water Taxi runs between 10 am and 10 pm.  The boats for the Fort Lauderdale and Pompano routes arrive every 30 to 45 minutes.  You can check the boat tracker on our website starting at 10 AM every day to see where the boat is.  It is important to note that while Water Taxi Captains do their absolute best to stay on schedule there are times when we might fall behind due to weather, marine traffic, high guest loads, and many other things beyond their control.

Yes you can rent / charter your own Water Taxi. We have a variety of themed tours and cruises you may be interested in or you may want the Water Taxi to transport your group to dinner. Guests queue up and climb aboard, first come, first served. (Ticket holders first). If we hit the capacity limit set by the Coast Guard, guests that could not board the Water Taxi will wait for the next Water Taxi.
