You can board the Hollywood route at three locations along Hollywood Beach or you can board the Hollywood boat at Stop 5 in Fort Lauderdale. On the Water Taxi you can either travel between Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood Beach or you can ride around within Hollywood.
Hollywood is an awesome place. Heading just south from Fort Lauderdale on the Waterway is the extremely interesting Port Everglades home to south Florida’s thriving Cruise ship Industry and port of call to thousands of merchant ships every year. Further south are the beautiful nature parks; john Lloyd Park to the east and Anne Kolb Park to the west. Along the parks you may see graceful turkey Vultures circling overhead searching for their prey in the mangroves or you may see pelicans skimming the surface of the water as they scour the waterways for their dinner. Then, after an enjoyable ride and beautiful sites, the Water Taxi arrives at Hollywood Beach where the Water Taxi has three stops to bring guests close to their destination. Hollywood Beach is quite different from Fort Lauderdale Beach offering a very different look and feel to the South Florida experience. The center of activity is the Broadwalk…no not the boardwalk, the “Broadwalk”; named so because it is so wide that it can accommodate all sorts of pedestrian and peddle powered vehicles operating in both directions. At 2.5 miles long and lined with restaurants and nightlife on the west side and pristine beach on the east side traveling the Broadwalk is a highlight to any trip to Hollywood Beach. At the end of Johnson Street, along the Broadwalk, you will find the Hollywood Beach Theater. This open air venue features live entertainment most nights of the week in a laid back seaside environment. You can dance under the stars to Salsa music one night and cheer on an old time rock and roll band the next. Don’t forget that many of the shops, restaurants and rental Companies offer discounts when you present your Water Taxi ticket.
